Welcome - thelostland.com was born as a personal quest to bring together information about Susan Cooper's books and first appeared on the web several years ago.  Now, with Susan Cooper's input and blessing, thelostland.com has become her official site.

The site first appeared in 1997 and so this year celebrates its tenth birthday.  It is an exciting year in which to be celebrating such a milestone, as this year sees the release of the film adaptation of The Dark Is Rising.

For those of you have visited before, welcome back!  If this is your first time, welcome!

To mark the tenth anniversary of the site, there have been a few changes.  Susan has provided some photographs from her personal collection and these can be found throughout the site.  She has also provided some talks and essays for download.  There are additional photographs showing the landscapes of Susan's books, and a Dark Is Rising art page with a short interview with the illustrator Michael Heslop who was responsible for the remarkable covers from the 1970s and 1980s.
